Independent MObile JOurnalism Showcasing the "mojo" of HOward COunty

A group of Columbia, MD residents calling themselves "Bridge Columbia" have submitted a proposal to the county government, GGP and the Columbia association to upgrade or replace the current pedestrian bridge over Rt. 29. They propose a pedestrian and transit-only route that would not only connect Oakland Mills to Town Center, but could serve as an iconic symbol of Columbia.

Disclosure - Dave Bittner, an owner of HoCoMoJo, is also a member of Bridge Columbia, and produced this piece.

Thanks for posting this story on Bridge Columbia! I think this is a great idea, and it fits perfectly with the Oakland Mills Village Center Master Plan. I'm going to ask Sandy Cederbaum to post a link in our OMeNews.
