Volunteer Opportunities for Teens - Spring 2010 edition

The Volunteer Center's spring edition of the Volunteer Opportunities for Teens guide is now available!

The guide features volunteer opportunities at local nonprofit and governmental agencies and includes contact information, website links, minimum age requirements, and additional resources.

Mark your calendar! April 23 - 25, 2010 are Global Youth Service Days (GYSD), an annual initiative that celebrates youth service in over 100 countries around the world!

We know that young people are making a real difference every day in our community, but this event spotlights their efforts during a single weekend of service. The GYSD website includes all kinds of information on creating a project. You can also check our calendar to see if any youth-friendly volunteer opportunities are available during that weekend or contact the center directly to discuss project ideas.
