Management and Career Path Skills
Columbia, Maryland…Being an effective manager requires a wide array of skills. New and experienced managers will find insights into eight of the most essential managerial skills at The Managers Toolkit. The Association of Community Services (ACS) series of eight two- hour workshops starts October 12, 2011 and runs through May 9, 2012. The series is designed for managers and supervisors who are new to their role, those who want to hone their management skills or who want to work on their career path. Held from 8:30-10:30 a.m. once a month, the sessions, taught by experts, provide insights on how to supervise, hire, present, evaluate manage, and motivate. The eight sessions include: Understanding the Supervisory Process, The Art and Science of Motivation, Managing the Employee as an Individual, Presentation Skills, Performance Evaluations, Managing Conflict, Meeting Management, and Balancing Your Life.
