Kaiser Permanente has signed a 10-year lease for 42,000 square feet of office space to create a new call center located in the Maple Lawn Business Park in Fulton, Maryland. The announcement was made yesterday by Ed St. John, the Founder and President of St. John Properties, the real estate development company which owns and is developing and managing the property.
“When Ed told me about this lease, I was thrilled,” said County Executive Ulman. “More jobs coming to the County and a long term investment from one of the nation’s largest nonprofit health plans is just another example that the business community realizes Howard County is the right location to grow your business.”
Groundbreaking on the new facility is scheduled for next month, and Kaiser Permanente plans to relocate more than 300 employees to the new building in January 2011. The new call center will serve the central Maryland and mid-Atlantic region.
