Howard County Library Announces New Board of Trustees Member and Officers

(Columbia, MD) – The
Howard County Library Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that
Howard County Executive Ken Ulman nominated, and the County Council
appointed, its recommended candidate, Anne R. Markus, to a five-year
term to HCL's Board of Trustees. Dr. Markus' term began May 3, 2010.

Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs and Associate Professor of Health Policy at
The George Washington University School of Public Health and Health
Services, Markus joins current Trustees Patrick J. Clancy, attorney and
partner at Krooth & Altman, LLP, in Washington, DC; Leonora K.
Hoenes, real estate investor; Richard M. Alexander, Corporate
Facilities Manager of Sodexo, Inc.; Stacie A. Hunt, President &
CEO of Leadership Howard County; and Charles McLaughlin, retired
grant and contract administrator for the Federal Government.

At its June 16 meeting, the Board elected the following FY 11 officers:
McLaughlin as Chair, Hunt as Vice Chair, and Alexander as Treasurer.
