Howard County Government offices, courts, animal shelter, library branches and the landfill will be closed in observance of the Labor Day holiday on Monday, September 7. Library branches will also be closed on Sunday, September 6.
There will be no trash, recycling or yard waste collection on Monday, September 7; instead, based on the County’s “slide” schedule, trash, recycling and yard waste (for those scheduled for yard waste collection) will “slide” to Tuesday, September 8. Tuesday collections will “slide” to Wednesday; Wednesday collections will “slide” to Thursday, and so on through the remainder of the week. All parking regulations and parking fees will be in effect.
The 9-1-1 Center, Police and Fire departments remain staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For emergencies, call 9-1-1. For non-emergencies, please call 410-313-2200.
County offices will re-open at regular business hours on Tuesday, September 8.
