Dick Story Joins JPB Enterprises
JPB Enterprises, Inc. (“JPB”) announced today that Richard “Dick” Story, Howard County’s former Chief Executive Officer for the Economic Development Authority will be joining the firm as its Senior Vice President for Marketing.
In his role with JPB, Mr. Story will be responsible for developing and executing a marketing and sales strategy while branding “JPB” into a cohesive and consistent image across its three product lines—private equity, real estate development and advisory services. Mr. Story’s consummate abilities as a communicator and relationship-builder, his wealth of experience and impressive business acumen will be an essential element in conveying JPB’s platform of services to the market and expanding its presence and awareness.

Most recently, Mr. Story retired as Chief Executive Officer of the Howard County Economic Development Authority (HCEDA) after nearly 18 years of service. As a seasoned economic development executive with over 31 years of service, Mr. Story has previously served the public sector as Executive Director for Carroll and Baltimore Counties Economic Development Authorities. Additionally, he has held leadership positions in economic development in the Washington/Baltimore Regional Association and Maryland Economic Growth Associates. He also served in the capacity of Senior Manager of Business Development for the Atlantic Builders Group prior to joining the HCEDA.
Mr. Story is also a former Chair of the BWI Airport Development Council, past chair of the Area Business Development Officials Committee – 24 economic development organizations in the Greater Washington area, and a past chair of the Advisory Committee for the Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore. He also chairs the Membership Committee of Maryland Economic Development Association. Mr. Story has served on the Board of Directors of the Columbia Foundation, Humanim, Inc., the Baltimore Area Council/Boy Scouts of America, and the Howard County Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Story serves on the Howard County Superintendent’s Advisory Committee for Business and Education Partnerships, and is on Howard Community College’s Commission on the Future.
