COLUMBIA, MD -- On Tuesday morning a panel of self-described leaders in the Howard County community conducted a public conference call to discuss their concerns and frustrations regarding the revitalization of downtown Columbia and the future of Howard County.
Phil Englke of Oakland Mill discussed the history of the community's collaboration on a plan to redevelop downtown Columbia.
Lin Eagan, a business-owner and Harper's Farm resident, listed elements of the written plan and documents that county planning staff, GGP, and community members have created together.
Mike Davis of Wilde Lake described the Planning Board's failure to present recommendations on the community's plan to the County Council.
Lastly, Sharonlee Vogel, a county resident and transportation advocate, explained why there is such a need for action on the community's plan.
