Exhibition of Five Women Photographers
IN COLUMBIA ART CENTER GALLERIES

As part of Columbia Festival of the Arts, the Columbia Art Center Galleries will present A COLLECTING AFFAIR III: THE ART OF COLLECTING PHOTOGRAPHY, June 10-27, 2010. The exhibition showcases collectors’ photographs of five local women photographers and additional works for sale by the photographers. The show is the 3rd installment of the Collecting Affair series which is presented each June as part of Columbia Festival of the Arts and designed to promote art collecting in the community.

A gala reception will be held Tuesday, June 15, 5:30-8pm. A discussion with the artists and collectors will begin at 6pm. The reception is free and open to the community.

The photographers featured in the show are: Denee Barr, Carol Cathcart, Joan Forester, Maili Godwin, and Laura Vernon Russell. The collectors participating in this exhibition include Winnie Coggins, Marilyn Dorfman, Nichole Hickey, Susan Farkas, Joe Foley, and David Schaffer.

The Columbia Art Center Galleries are open for viewing, Monday-Friday 9:30am-9pm, Saturday, 9:30am-5pm, and Sunday 11am-5pm.
