- I am a writer, editor, volunteer and the very model of the modern mother general. I work for the Howard County Poetry and Literature Society and the Little Patuxent Review literary magazine, as well as assorted newspapers, and publishing houses. I have two kids, two cats, one husband and one hermit crab, plus a serious horse addiction.

- My family's favorite is Trattoria da Enrico. Mine is Great Sage.

- Career
- I worked for 20 years for the Columbia Flier company, as a writer, columnist and editor. I wrote Columbia: A Celebration and my husband, David, took the photos. I taught literature at Howard Community College for several years while I freelanced for Baltimore Magazine, the Baltimore Sun and other publications. I have edited four sports books by CBS Sportsline writer Mike Freeman.
