On November 17, 2004 Neighbor Ride launched its volunteer-based transportation service with the mission to decrease isolation and improve the quality of life for Howard County’s older residents. To date, Neighbor Ride’s dedicated team of over 250 volunteers has coordinated and provided nearly 33,000 trips for medical appointments, social outings, religious services, fitness and educational classes, volunteer activities, shopping and other personal needs.
