Event Description

The Columbia Archives will host an open house on Tuesday, December 8, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. to showcase books about Columbia and their authors. The public is invited to peruse the books and meet with Josh Olsen, Better Places, Better Lives – A Biography of James Rouse; Joe Mitchell, New City Upon a Hill; Bob Tennenbaum, Creating a New City; and Missy Burke, Robin Emrich and Barbara Kellner, Oh you must live in Columbia: The origins of place names in Columbia, MD.

A special exhibit of the unique holiday cards created by artists Gail Holliday and Betty Cooke for The Rouse Company and Enterprise Foundation will be on display for the event. Refreshments will be served and Archives staff will be on hand to answer questions about the collection.
