 ndations on 8940 Route 108, Columbia, MD 21045-2129. Conni Ross and De
 bra Mobley will direct this modern masterpiece to be held at Slayton H
 ouse on May 21st, 22nd, 28th, 29th at 8 pm and May 23rd and 30th at 3 
 pm.\n\nActors should bring a current headshot and resume to the auditi
 on and prepare 16 bars of an up-tempo song and a ballad. Actors may au
 dition with songs from The Drowsy Chaperone. Actors should be ready to
  dance as well. The dance audition may include a tap combination.\n\nT
 he Drowsy Chaperone is the tale of a modern day musical theater maven,
  known simply as \"Man in Chair.\" To chase his blues away he plays hi
 s favorite LP - the 1928 musical comedy, The Drowsy Chaperone. From th
 e crackle of his phonograph, the musical magically bursts to life on-s
 tage telling the tale of the pampered Broadway starlet who wants to gi
 ve up showbiz to get hitched and her producer's attempts to sabotage h
 er impending marriage. Hilarious antics ensue with her chaperone, the 
 debonair groom, the dizzy chorus girl, the Latin lover and a pair of g
 angsters masquerading as pastry chefs. Man in Chair's love of The Drow
 sy Chaperone communicates to anyone who has ever been transported by t
